This seminar explores in detail the various loan documentation and disbursement issues that arise in Florida’s construction loan transactions. Lenders, credit officers, lending associates, document preparation specialists, loan booking specialists and other bankers involved in the lending process will benefit from this in depth look at the documents unique to construction lending, their purpose and effect, and various aspects of Florida law that impact the disbursement process. This seminar, explores typical loan structures for both residential and commercial construction projects and the documents that are unique to each. With that as background, the course examines Florida’s construction lien law as it relates to lenders and, particularly, to the loan disbursement process with a focus on the proper method of disbursing construction loan draws and the liability lenders may face by making improper disbursements. The course will benefit those involved in both commercial and residential construction loan transactions.

– Boundary surveys, foundation surveys and as built surveys, title insurance issues

This seminar is taught by Douglas L. Waldorf, JD, MBA. Mr. Waldorf is a Florida Bar Board Certified Real Estate Attorney with over 30 years of experience in representing banks and other lenders in loan structuring and documentation as well as in special assets matters. He served for 12 years as in house counsel for SunTrust Bank in Southwest Florida and is presently a director with Dentons Cohen & Grigsby, P.C.
